Weigh three things honestly. First, your subject: does it gain from being shown, or is it better read? Second, your time: can you realistically sustain the production load, week after week, without resenting it? Third, your temperament: do you actually want to be on camera and learn editing, or are you forcing it because video is trendy? If the answers line up, video can grow an audience faster and connect more deeply than anything else. If they don't, there's no shame in writing.
